Scotch Bonnet was established by Southside Partnership in 2003 and remains part of the organisation.

Southside Partnership (Reg. Charity No. 1010187) is committed to improving the wellbeing of people with mental health needs and learning difficulties through the provision of innovative services.

Established in 1991, Southside has developed a wide range of residential and community based services across South London, providing support to vulnerable people with complex needs. Our residential services include both registered care and supported living accommodation, many with individual specialities such as high-support rehabilitation and non-verbal communications, whilst our community outreach team supports people within their own homes and communities. Our award-winning Prison Project provides resettlement support and advocacy for offenders with mental health needs, before and after their release from prison. The Project now works in 12 prisons across London and the South East, supporting offenders returning to any London borough. The emphasis in all our services is on enabling service users to live as independently as possible.
